Serena is currently a professional competitor. Serena has competed in Ohio Star Ball, Chicago Crystal Ball, Harvest Moon, Windy City, Wisconsin State Championship, Millennium, United States Dance Championships, and several other national competitions through the years.  Serena has also been an avid performer and consistently participates in events across the country, including salsa congresses, corporate affairs, weddings and parties, and charity events. She performed with Dancing with the Stars cast members at Jenny McCarthy's red carpet charity event in St. Charles and participates as a judge in the Rhumba for Rainbow Charity event in Madison every year.
 
Serena has had many television appearances throughout her career, including Channel 7, Channel 9, and Extra with Mario Lopez.  She was on a segment of Dancing with the Stars called "Ballroom Battle," where she represented Karina Smirnoff's dance studio in a six couple final in Los Angeles. Serena also was one of the top 15 women finalists in season 11 of the show So You Think You Can Dance.
 
Serena's instructing experience consists of both private and group lessons for youth and adults.  She has completed instructor certifications through the Fred Astaire organization and has been consistently trained by some industry's top professionals.  Serena has a passion for the art of Dance. She believes it is important to share her knowledge and experience to help her students achieve their goals, whether for enjoyment or competitive purposes.
